About David Young
David Young’s connection with music began at an early age. At 12 years old, while training with New York’s most knowledgeable Baroque and Renaissance music mentor, he became the youngest member ever to join the NY Recorder Guild Advanced Performing Group. Continuing to develop his skills in his teens, he developed a flute method of “bending notes,” similar to playing a lead guitar player.
While playing in Venice Beach in the early 90’s, David tried picking up a second flute and playing both simultaneously. From there, using his last $100, he launched his own record company and his music career took off. To date, he has recorded 57 albums, which have sold over 100,000 copies, and authored three books.
